Your Jasper Alberta Attractions Guide …

It's not everyday you can hike the Canadian Rockies, paddle down a roaring whitewater river, sail the waters of the glacially fed Maligne Lake, or hit the fresh powder at Ski Jasper . So while you're staying with us at the Jasper Inn Alpine Resort we will gladly provide you with tips on how to make the most of your Canadian Rockies experience. Some of our favorite Jasper and area itineraries include:

• Exploring Jasper National Park
No matter which season you visit us in, we're sure you'll love Jasper National Park. Enjoy a variety of year-round, outdoor activities in and around the town of Jasper, including: hiking, swimming, white water rafting, golfing, boat cruises, tennis, horseback riding, guided walks, cross-country skiing, skating, sleigh rides, downhill skiing, showshoeing and winter canyon crawls.

• Maligne Lake
Just 48 kilometers south of the town of Jasper, the stunning Maligne Lake sits serenely within the majestic Canadian Rockies. From Maligne Lake, you can take a scenic tour to Spirit Island, a world-famous Canadian landmark. Guided trout fishing, boat rentals, a restaurant, shopping and shuttle service are also available.
For more information, visit www.malignelake.com.

• White Water Rafting
Seeking a true thrill? Climb aboard a rubber raft and race down the river of your choice. For more intermediate rafters, we suggest the Sunwapta River. And for all you more advanced rafters, don't miss out on the roaring waters of the Kakwa River.

• Ski Jasper
Catch fresh tracks on pristine powder as you ski about this breathtaking wonderland of snow-capped mountains and waterfalls suspended magically in clear-blue ice. You're guaranteed some sweet runs as you cruise down the uncrowded runs and enjoy the locals favorite mountain, Marmot Basin. Nordic skiers - and anyone who wants to give this winter sport a try - will be impressed by the variety of trails available for short or overnight excursions.

And don't forget about other types of frosty fun: outdoor ice skating, the Maligne Canyon “Crawl,” sleigh rides, snowshoeing, winter picnics, observing wildlife and then cozying up to a roaring fire back at the Jasper Inn.

• Jasper Tourism & Commerce
The Jasper Tourism & Commerce is a volunteer organization committed to the enhancement of tourism and private enterprise in Jasper National Park. Jasper Tourism & Commerce is an excellent resource for information regarding local activities, history, events, accommodations and entertainment. As Jasper is recognized as a four-season destination, Jasper Tourism & Commerce is equally compelled to deliver four-star service.
