Front Desk Agent

Front Desk Agent – Jasper Inn & Suites
Job Summary:
As a team our goal is to create an unforgettable, picture-perfect experience for our guests. Your role in that goal is very important! At Jasper Inn, our Front Desk Team wears most of the hats of a traditional hotel - from reservation specialist to activities director; our Front Desk Agents do it all!
Full time, 40 hrs a week, year round
Starting Wage of $17 to $18/hour
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the Check in and Departure of hotel guests.
- Answer the hotel phone, both internal and external calls.
- Be an expert on local and onsite services and be able to provide information about them.
- Sell and book local activities. Commission on some bookings.
- Use accurate accounting and cash handling procedures.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to guest requests.
- Communicate very effectively with all other departments within the hotel.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of rooms, reservations, and room assignments.
- Manage reservations made by phone, email and through OTA’s.
- Represent the culture of the Jasper Inn & Suites and build repeat guests.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:

- Good PC skills: knowledge of Opera PMS is preferred, but not necessary.
- Previous Front Desk and/or Customer Service experience is preferred.
- Relevant education and experience in a hospitality or tourism setting.
- Excellent verbal and written English, a second language is an asset.

Job Responsibilities:
Duties Include:
- Prepare section so everything is fully stocked for service
- Cook meals to order while working efficiently and making sure there is minimal food wastage
- Use creativity to design and cook specials
- Maintain high standards of food presentation at all times
- Help with organizing and managing banquets
- Expediting banquets as needed
- Liaising with Executive Chef in regard to achieving overall high standards of cooking within the kitchen

Qualifications:

Housekeeper - Room Attendant
Housekeeper – Jasper Inn & Suites
Job Summary:

- 5 – 6 shifts per week, 30 – 40 hours per week (Varies, depending on the Season)
- Summer & Permanent year-round available
- Experience is an asset but willing to train
- Starting Wage is $17/hour
Duties:
- Provide cleaning services for guests on a day-to-day basis.
- Complete task sheets of listed rooms to be cleaned each day.
- Observe and report any maintenance repairs needed.
- Help stock and maintain cleaning supplies, linen carts, and linen rooms.
- Return Lost and Found items to the designated office.
- Abide by all resort safety procedures to always ensure safety of both staff and guests.
- Maintain the cleanliness of hallways and public areas during certain times (vacuuming, dusting, etc.)
- Move and arrange furniture and turn mattresses.
- Taking garbage to loading dock areas.
- Provide basic information on facilities and handle complaints
- Respond to guest requests and deliver to guests upon request.
- Assists Colleagues as directed by Team Lead and Housekeeping Manager.
- Assist in laundry when required.
- Perform other duties as required and assigned by the Team Lead and Housekeeping Manager.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
- Work with cleaning chemicals; proper use training will be provided.
- Standing for extended periods of time.
- Available to work weekends.
- Report to work in required uniform and in adherence with the Jasper Inn & Suites Dress Code.

Housing Coordinator
Housing Coordinator
- Casual part-time around 10-20 hours per week.
- Responsible for coordinating staff move ins and move outs, getting leases signed and coordinating damage deposits with administration
- Meeting staff and getting them settled in
- On call for maintenance and key issues.
- Overseeing two staff houses and units in Cavell Apartments (bi-weekly inspections)
- Point of contact for Jasper Inn Properties (off site) tenants
- Take care of minor repairs, coordinate with hotel maintenance for larger repairs
